BetFree is a self-help digital-wellbeing app that helps you stop compulsive gambling
(sports betting, online casino, slots, poker and the like). It is distributed directly from selvyn.co/betfree, outside any app
store, and is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. It is operated by Selvyn
(contact: santimontesdeoca@gmail.com).
BetFree does not provide medical, psychological or therapeutic treatment and is not a substitute for professional help. It does not cure any condition and we do not promise results — not even that you will stop gambling: it is a tool to support a decision you already made. If you are in crisis, contact a qualified professional or a local helpline.
18 or older: you can use BetFree on your own. 13 to 17: you can use it only with the permission of a mother, father or legal guardian and with your own agreement (see "Terms for minors" below). Under 13: BetFree is not available to you.
You sign in with a Google account. An adult may sign in with their own Google account on a teenager's phone; in that case that adult is responsible for the account. Payments go through Mercado Pago, which requires the payer to be 18 or older: if you are a teenager, an adult pays. If you add an accountability partner, you confirm you are allowed to give us their name and email; we email them to confirm and they receive nothing until they do. Install BetFree on a phone that is yours or that you are allowed to use.
By giving permission in the app, the adult confirms that: (a) they are the person's mother, father or legal guardian; (b) they understand what BetFree does and what it keeps (see the Privacy Policy, section 11); (c) their permission does not give them control of the phone — no PIN, no remote control, no access to what the person writes; (d) if the person names them as partner, they receive only the alerts the person chose, and only after confirming from their email; and (e) they can withdraw this permission at any time from the link we email them, which deactivates the account and deletes its data from our server. The adult's name, relationship and email, and the date and version of these terms (2026-10-18 today), are stored with the account as proof of the permission. For their part, the teenager agrees, in plain words, to use BetFree on these terms and chooses what their adult is told.
BetFree needs an active subscription: there is no free plan and no free trial. You subscribe through
Mercado Pago, in pesos; the plan, the price and the renewal terms are shown on the
subscription screen before you pay, and nothing else is charged. Your subscription belongs to
your account and works on any phone you sign in to; if you change phones, just sign in again. If you
paid and the app does not activate, reopen the app and, if it still
doesn't, write to santimontesdeoca@gmail.com and we will sort it out. For now, people can also activate
with a one-time contribution through Cafecito, which does not renew; those who already did keep their
activation.
Renewal. The monthly plan renews every month and the annual plan every 12 months, automatically, charged by Mercado Pago to the payment method you chose, at the price you were shown, until you cancel. The price of a running subscription does not change by itself.
Cancelling is as easy as subscribing. You cancel at any time from the subscription screen in the app, with no email, call or reason needed, or from your Mercado Pago account. Cancelling stops the next charge; you keep access until the end of the period you already paid. Deleting your account also cancels the subscription.
Refunds. You can withdraw from the purchase within 10 calendar days
of the first charge of a subscription (Ley 24.240, art. 34) and we refund the full amount to the same
payment method: write to santimontesdeoca@gmail.com from the email of your account. A charge made by
mistake (a double charge, or one after you cancelled) is refunded in full. Apart from that, a
period that has already started is not refunded, except where the law requires it.
Teenagers. The payer must be 18 or older, so for a person aged 13 to 17 an adult pays and is the one who cancels or asks for a refund.
The self-lock is optional and you turn it on yourself. While it is armed, the app cannot be uninstalled and its protection cannot be switched off: the way out is the 24-hour wait inside the app, which starts when you ask for it and runs while the phone is on. It is deliberate friction, not a trap — but understand it before you enable it. We cannot release it remotely, and you should not enable it on a phone that is not yours or that someone else depends on.
Detection runs on your device against lists and rules, so it can miss content and it can occasionally stop something harmless. Treat it as support for a decision you already made, not as a guarantee, and do not rely on it as the only safeguard on a phone used by someone else.
The app checks for new versions and offers to install them; each install is approved by you. We may change or discontinue features between versions.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect or consequential damages arising from use of the app, including content that was not blocked.
We may update these terms; material changes will be posted here. Questions, refunds and data

BetFree no brinda tratamiento médico, psicológico ni terapéutico, y no reemplaza la ayuda profesional. No cura ninguna condición y no prometemos resultados — ni siquiera que vayas a dejar de apostar: es una herramienta de apoyo a una decisión que ya tomaste. Si estás en crisis, contactá a un profesional o a una línea de ayuda local.
Desde los 18 años: podés usar BetFree por tu cuenta. De 13 a 17: solo con el permiso de una madre, un padre o un tutor legal y con tu propio acuerdo (ver "Términos para menores" más abajo). Menos de 13: BetFree no está disponible.
Entrás con una cuenta de Google. Un adulto puede entrar con su propia cuenta de Google en el teléfono de una persona adolescente; en ese caso ese adulto es responsable de la cuenta. El pago va por Mercado Pago, que exige que quien paga tenga 18 años o más: si sos adolescente, paga un adulto. Si cargás un compañero, confirmás que estás autorizado a darnos su nombre y su mail; le escribimos para que confirme y no le llega nada hasta que lo haga. Instalá BetFree en un teléfono tuyo o que estés autorizado a usar.
Al dar su permiso en la app, el adulto confirma que: (a) es la madre, el padre o el tutor legal de la persona; (b) entiende qué hace BetFree y qué guarda (ver la Política de Privacidad, sección 11); (c) su permiso no le da control del teléfono — no hay PIN, ni control remoto, ni acceso a lo que la persona escribe; (d) si la persona lo nombra compañero, recibe solo los avisos que ella eligió, y solo después de confirmar desde su mail; y (e) puede retirar este permiso cuando quiera desde el link que le mandamos por mail, lo que desactiva la cuenta y borra sus datos del servidor. El nombre, el vínculo y el mail del adulto, y la fecha y la versión de estos términos (hoy 2026-10-18), se guardan con la cuenta como constancia del permiso. Por su parte, la persona acepta, en palabras simples, usar BetFree en estos términos y elige de qué se entera su adulto.
BetFree necesita una suscripción activa: no hay plan gratis ni prueba gratis. Te suscribís por
Mercado Pago, en pesos; el plan, el precio y las condiciones de renovación se ven en la
pantalla de suscripción antes de pagar, y no se cobra nada más. Tu suscripción es de tu cuenta
y activa la app en cualquier teléfono donde entres; si cambiás de celular, entrá de nuevo. Si pagaste y
no se activa, abrí la app de nuevo y, si sigue igual, escribí a
santimontesdeoca@gmail.com y lo resolvemos. Por ahora también se puede activar con un aporte único por
Cafecito, que no se renueva; quienes ya lo hicieron conservan su activación.
Renovación. El plan mensual se renueva cada mes y el anual cada 12 meses, en forma automática, con cobro de Mercado Pago al medio de pago que elegiste, al precio que viste, hasta que lo canceles. El precio de una suscripción en curso no cambia solo.
Cancelar es tan fácil como suscribirse. Cancelás cuando quieras desde la pantalla de suscripción de la app, sin mail, sin llamada y sin tener que dar un motivo, o desde tu cuenta de Mercado Pago. Cancelar frena el próximo cobro; seguís con acceso hasta el fin del período que ya pagaste. Borrar tu cuenta también cancela la suscripción.
Reembolsos. Podés arrepentirte de la compra dentro de los 10 días
corridos del primer cobro de una suscripción (Ley 24.240, art. 34) y te devolvemos el importe
completo por el mismo medio de pago: escribí a santimontesdeoca@gmail.com desde el mail de tu cuenta. Un
cobro hecho por error (uno doble, o uno posterior a tu baja) se devuelve completo. Fuera de eso, un
período ya iniciado no se reembolsa, salvo que la ley lo exija.
Adolescentes. Quien paga tiene que tener 18 años o más: de 13 a 17 paga un adulto, que es quien cancela o pide el reembolso.
El blindaje es opcional y lo prendés vos. Mientras está puesto, la app no se puede desinstalar ni se puede apagar su protección: la salida es la espera de 24 horas dentro de la app, que arranca cuando la pedís y corre con el celular prendido. Es fricción a propósito, no una trampa — pero entendelo antes de prenderlo. No lo podemos soltar de forma remota, y no deberías prenderlo en un teléfono que no sea tuyo o del que dependa otra persona.
La detección corre en tu dispositivo contra listas y reglas: puede dejar pasar contenido y puede, de vez en cuando, frenar algo inocente. Tomalo como apoyo a una decisión que ya tomaste, no como una garantía, y no lo uses como única protección en un teléfono que usa otra persona.
La app consulta si hay versiones nuevas y te ofrece instalarlas; cada instalación la aprobás vos. Podemos cambiar o discontinuar funciones entre versiones.
En la máxima medida permitida por la ley, no somos responsables por daños indirectos o consecuentes derivados del uso de la app, incluido el contenido que no haya sido bloqueado.
Podemos actualizar estos términos; los cambios importantes se publicarán aquí. Consultas,
reembolsos y pedidos sobre tus datos: santimontesdeoca@gmail.com. Los reclamos por datos personales también
se pueden presentar ante la Agencia de Acceso a la Información Pública (AAIP).
